Sri Valmiki Ramayana is one of the foundational scriptural authorities on all aspects of Vedic and Vaisnava philosophy, culture, and discipline. As such, this great literature has been a source of knowledge and inspiration to Vaisnavas of the four authentic disciplic successions that stem from the Supreme Lord Himself, and is much loved among all who accept the authority of the Vedic scriptures.
Our classes on this great scripture will be based on the edition that is being published by Rupa Raghunatha Vani Publications which contains the original Sanskrit text, roman transliteration, synonyms, translation, an abridged rendition of commentaries from the Ramanuja- and Madhva-sampradayas and notes containing quotations from standard Gaudiya Vaisnava authorities and His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.* Canto 1 has been published in three volumes and Canto 2 in five volumes. Canto 3 is in progress and is expected to be published in mid-2021.
